Airports

There are three to choose from Alicante, Almeria or Murcia .Car hire is available from all three airports, through Holiday Autos. Transfer time from Alicante and Murcia is approx. 90 mins and from Almeria approx.60 mins.We provide free minibus transfers from Alicante airport to Casa Sobre Colina only, unless otherwise stated.

Driving

DIRECTIONS from AIRPORTS : ALICANTE, MURCIA , AMERICA to TABERNO
From all airports head for the E15.
Alicante and Murcia are North of the turn off (junction) HUERCAL OVERA. Follow signs south down the E 15 to Lorca, Granada, Almeria, however stay on the E15 until you reach the turn off for Huercol Overa – Santa Maria (this is approx. 90mins from all airports).

Almeria is south of Hurcol; so on approaching the E15 you would need to travel north sighed Murcia, and as above takes the Huercal Overa turning. As you turn off at this junction at the top of the slip road TABERNO is clearly sign posted. Follow the road to Taberno, this is approx. 12 kl., from the motorway, E15.

On entering Taberno, a typical whitewashed Spanish village, you will come to a road junction – turn left, sign posted Albox. Follow this road past the S bends, dropping into the rambler and the climbing up the hill past a farm on your left. As you approach the top of the hill you will see a large track on your left leading to another farmhouse, you will notice a green free-standing letterbox here, this is ours and signifies the end of our track.

Take this left turning – follow the track, keeping left past the first farmhouse, for approx. 1km. On your way down our winding track you will be able to see our farm (as per photo). Please be aware, this is a typical winding mountain track and care is required.
