Local Area and Activities
This is an ideal holiday for adults wanting a peaceful break since it is based in a remote mountain setting and some distance from major towns and cities. It is therefore ideal for those who prefer quiet open spaces, relaxing, taking in the sun, lounging around the 10 metre pool and Jacuzzi, and simply recharging the batteries.
Casa Sobre la Colina is a modernised Andalucian Cortija set in its own 15 acres of unspoilt terraced hills and Rambla. It enjoys 325 sun-soaked days per year, and the skies around are recognised as the cleanest in Europe. You can walk for miles around the surrounding hills, villages and mountains by just setting off from the house.On the other hand you can get your hands dirty and prune some olive trees, do some dry stone walling or tidy up the hill terraces around the house.
Around the house you can of course use the pool and either swim or do some water aerobics. If you prfeer something more exciting you can use the mountain bikes and get out into the hills.
Casa Sobre la Colina is within easy reach of the beautiful coastline of Mojacar, the Sierra Nevada, Granada and Little Hollywood (The Magnificent Seven was filmed here). The drive will take about 1 hour but then you can have all of the fun and noise and facilities offered by the Spanish seaside holiday towns and villages
